Video Game Restoration & Grading

RESTORATION

Every game we sell gets cleaned, restored, and tested.

  • CD/DVD discs: Dirty or heavily scratched discs can cause read errors and may reduce the life of console disc drives. We resurface all CD and DVD discs using professional grade ELM machines.
  • Blu-Ray discs: While BDs are fairly scratch resistant, the data layer is near the bottom of the discs which makes them impossible to repair in case of deeper damage. We ensure that each disc is clean and thoroughly tested.
  • Cartridges: Cartridge-based games depend on having clean contacts. We carefully restore any contaminated or oxidized contacts to ensure an optimal connection.
  • Save batteries: Certain cartridge-based games use batteries to keep save files. We solder in new save batteries on all cartridges that use them.
  • Cases: We thoroughly clean each case and remove stickers where possible. We may replace heavily worn cases with top quality aftermarket replacements.

COSMETIC GRADING

While grading is subjective, our grading system should give you a good idea of what to expect when you receive your item. All video games are in good working order regardless of their cosmetic condition. We use stock product images that may be slightly different from shipped item (i.e. bilingual versions).
